Grandparent’s Day (2024)

School celebrated grandparent’s day on 10.09.2024. The relationship shared between a child and the grandparent is based on pure and unconditional love. On this day, people raise awareness on the contribution of the grandparents not just on the upbringing of a child but also in creating social awareness in the younger generations. The following were the proceeds of the program:

  • 11:20 AM Welcome speech by Ms. Lijalata Behera
  • 11:30 AM Telugu Speech by Kum. Yokshita (Student of Class 1)
  • 11:35 AM Cards contribution by Students of Class 1 and Distribution by Students of Class 2
  • 11:45 AM Group Dance by students of Class 1
  • 11:55 AM Group Dance by students of Class 2
  • 12:00 Snacks distribution and closure of program.

Independence Day Celebrations (2024)

The Independence Day celebration at Gurajada Children School (GCS) was held on August 15, 2024, (Thursday). The program commenced at 8:30AM in school compound with the flag hoisting ceremony by chief guest Dr. Manoj Kumar Warrior, Head CAD, BARC (V), in the presence Shri. Sanjay Singh (Convener-LSMC), Shri. Rahulnath P.P. (Correspondent-GCS), Shri. Sanjay Kumar Chhabda (President-DAEERCV) and other dignitaries of BARC. Parents, students and all staff of GCS and residents of Anuvihar township were present during the event. Flag hoisting was followed by National Anthem and students march past.

Ms.Lijalata Behera(Teacher-GCS) welcomed everyone to the function. Dr. Manoj Kumar Warrier addressed the gathering in which he emphasized the need to develop a free childhood. Shri. Sanjay Singh awarded Vice Captain badge to Ms.G. Yokshitha (Class1) and Shri. Manoj Kumar Warrier awarded School Captain Ms. R. Dhanusri (Class 2).

The celebration featured various performances including dances by Class 1, Class 2, UKG, and LKG students, Independence Day song by class2 students, as well as speeches in Telugu, English, and Hindi by Ms. Yokshitha, Ms. R. Dhanusri and Ms. P Varshitha respectively. The program concluded with vote of thanks by Ms. V. V. Neelaveni (Teacher-GCS) followed by ladoo distribution to all the attendees.
