For: Transport facility for village primary students
DAE Employees Recreational Club Visakhapatnam is a non-profit and non-government welfare society of staff of constituent units of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The society is registered under Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act., 2001 in the year 2017. The aims and objects of the society include education, sports, arts and culture in addition to other welfare activities for its members.
In the year 2022, the society started a school “Gurajada Children School” in Maduturu village in Visakhapatnam to provide reasonably affordable and good quality education to the wards of contract laborers, villagers and its members. The school is now recognized by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to enroll students up to primary standard. Total 28 student enrolled in LKG and UKG for the session 2022-23. But many students withdrew their admission for non-availability of subsidized or free transportation facility. The students are kids of contract laborers and poor villagers. Due to their other engagements in bread earning jobs they are unable to drop and pickup students from school and therefore they are forced to withdraw their wards from school. In the process the kids are deprived of quality education.
The society does not have adequate funds to create such a transport facility. Main source of income of society is small monthly subscription from its members. It is therefore, generous donors are requested, through this forum, to come forwards and donate for this noble cause.
