80th Independence Day Celebrations at GCS
Gurajada Children School celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm on 15th August 2026 at 8:00 a.m. The programme was organized to commemorate the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and to instil a sense of patriotism, unity, and responsibility among the students.

The celebrations began with a warm welcome speech by Ms. J. Vijaya Lakshmi, followed by the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest and the singing of the National Anthem. The students then participated in a disciplined and impressive March Past, reflecting their confidence and school spirit.

The Chief Guest, Shri N. Sakthivel, Scientific Officer/Grade H, Head, Computational Applications Development Section, CAD, BARC, addressed the gathering and shared inspiring thoughts with the students. The programme continued with the presentation of Leaders’ Badges to the Captain, Vice Captain, and Class Leaders by our correspondent shri Rahulnath p p ( GCS ), followed by the Oath-Taking Ceremony by our respected principal Ms. Priyamvada prabhan(GCS )for captain, vice captain and class Leaders.

The students showcased their talents through a series of cultural performances, including English, Telugu and Hindi speeches, along with energetic dance performances by Classes 1 to 3. The Class 4 students presented a patriotic Telugu song, adding to the spirit of the occasion.

A special Flag-Making Activity was conducted for the Class 1 and UKG students, providing them with an opportunity to express their creativity while learning about the national flag. The LKG students presented a colourful Fancy Dress programme, making the celebration lively and memorable.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Ms. V. Chandrakala, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, school management, teachers, parents, and students for their valuable contribution towards making the celebration a grand success.

The 80th Independence Day celebrations at Gurajada Children School were a beautiful blend of patriotism, cultural expression, creativity, and student participation, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride in our nation.
