Gurajada Children School celebrated International Yoga Day on 19 June 2026 with great energy and enthusiasm.
The event began with an introduction highlighting the significance of the day and its connection to the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. Following this, students from LKG to Class 4, participated in a guided yoga session. Under the supervision of their teachers, the participants performed warm-up exercises, breathing techniques (Pranayama), Surya Namaskar, and several yoga asanas.
The students displayed remarkable discipline and interest throughout the session. The primary objective of the event was to create awareness about the benefits of yoga and to emphasize its role in improving physical health, mental focus, and emotional well-being.
Teachers encouraged all students to incorporate yoga into their daily routine to achieve a healthier body, a calmer mind, and a balanced lifestyle. The celebration concluded successfully, leaving students inspired to embrace the practice of yoga in their everyday lives.
